CLEARFIELD – GantDaily.com is seeking appetizing, fun and naughtily-pleasing recipes from the kitchens of home cooks in the central Pennsylvania region.
It’s holding a recipe contest in conjunction with the Taste of Home Cooking School. The cooking school is being held Sept. 20 at the Expo II Building at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.
Five winning recipes will be selected from the kitchens of local home cooks, including one Best of Show. Private judging will take place by the GantDaily.com event team members and Taste of Home culinary specialist, Chef Char Morse.
The Best of Show recipe will be featured on the front of the Taste of Home Cooking School program. However, all winning recipes will be included in the program to be distributed at the event. Winning recipes will also be published on the Taste of Home page on GantDaily.com.
All contest winners will receive two complimentary tickets to the Taste of Home Cooking School on Sept. 20. They will also receive a brand-new edition cookbook complimentary of Taste of Home.
Home cooks can submit up to two recipes with a color photograph for each. The contest theme is “Good food, fun food and naughty food.” Home cooks can submit main entrees, creative sides, aesthetically-pleasing treats and “too good for your waistline” desserts.
Home cooks are encouraged to submit seasonal recipes. However, their accompanying photography must depict the appropriate season. No photographs of people will be accepted as part of the recipe contest.
All entries must be submitted electronically via e-mail to tasteofhome@gantnews.com. Entries must be accompanied by a photograph of the home cook’s creation, and no hard copy entries will be accepted.
The recipe entry deadline is 5 p.m. Aug. 27. Click here to enter or e-mail tasteofhome@gantnews.com. Rules: No purchase necessary. Visit contest page for complete details on contest rules.
