Margaret Callovini, 89, of Brisbin and formerly of Harleigh, died at TLC Manor, Brisbin, on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014. .
Born Sept. 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Facak) Zapotocky.
She was a housewife and devoted mother. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Church in Hazelton.
On June 26, 1949, she married Francis Callovini, who preceded her in death in March of 2011.
Surviving are two sons, James Callovini and his wife, Nancy of Houtzdale and Ronald Callovini and his wife, Jean of Wexford.
She enjoyed her surviving grandchildren, Jamie Callovini Isaacson and her husband, Aaron of Philipsburg, Danielle Callovini Dunsmore and her husband, Ken and Craig Callovini, both of Houtzdale, and Leah and Dominic Callovini, both of Wexford.
Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Alaina Dunsmore and Zaden Isaacson.
She was preceded in death by her husband and infant son, Robert; five sisters, Mary Leshko, Anna Giedosh, Helen Kostick, Rose Zapotosky and Julia Kokinda; and three brothers, John, Mike and Joe Zapotosky. She was the last surviving sibling.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Father Marc Solomon as celebrant.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.
Burial will be in the St. John’s Byzantine Cemetery in Hazelton.
