State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of burglary occurred sometime between Aug. 8 and Saturday on Lutz Lane in Halfmoon Township. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly entered the victim’s residence and stayed for an unknown period of time. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a resident on Turnpike Avenue. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police investigated a hit-and-run accident in the Hyde area.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam.
- Police received a report about an unwanted person in Kerr Addition.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with locating a known female.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Avenue Extension.
- Police received a report about an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct on Byers Street.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle, non-reportable accident at the on-ramp of state Route 879 at the Clearfield Mall intersection.
- Police assisted a motorist at the Hyde light.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute at Edgewood. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police assisted Clearfield Emergency Medical Services with a possible overdose at a local motel.
Sandy Township
- On Monday, a 44-year-old Maloney Road woman reported that she thought a 36-year-old Sykesville man took $480 from her apartment.
- Police were called to the DuBois Mall on Monday for a report about a man hitting and breaking an ATM machine. Upon arrival police were able to locate the 33-year-old Sykesville man who told police he hit the machine by accident while horsing around with his son. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- On Monday, a Hungry Hollow Road resident reported that motorists have been traveling at high rates of speed. Â Police will be patrolling the area throughout each shift in order to deter hazardous driving that has been a continuing problem in that area.
- On Monday, police received a report about a dog running loose in the area of Pifer and Tozier. The dog was gone upon police arrival.
