Jill R. Freeman, 58, of Clearfield and formerly of Grampian, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Born Dec. 19, 1955 in Loma Linda, Calif., she was the daughter of Virginia “Ginger” Richards. She was a 1973 graduate of the Curwensville Area High School.
She was formerly employed at the Clearfield Cheese Co., the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Woodland and Lander Child Development Services in Lander, WY.
She attended the First Baptist Church in Lander, WY and the Colfax Community Church in Manton, Mich.
On May 22, 2009 at the Grampian Church of God, she wed Kenneth L. Freeman, who survives of Clearfield, along with her mother and step-father, Ginger and Connie Kovall of Grampian.
She’s also survived by a daughter, Janessa Passmore and her husband, Shawn of Grampian; four grandchildren, Logan and Hunter Passmore, Elizabeth Rose Mathews and Jacob Kavelak, all of Grampian; a daughter-in-law, Polly Kavelak of Grampian; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ryan S. Mathews.
A public memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with the Rev. Gary Zarr officiating. Burial will follow in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
