Angeline Cambria, 96, of Clearfield died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014 at the Transitions Hospice Care, Raleigh, NC.
She was born July 9, 1918 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Unch) Cambria.
Ms. Cambria retired in 1987 as the office manager at Soult Wholesale, Clearfield. She also enjoyed helping with the Clearfield soup kitchen.
She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, serving with the Rosary and Altar Society and a volunteer with the Bereavement Committee. Ms. Cambria also was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved her deeply and found her to be an inspiration to each of them. To many of her nephews and nieces, she was like a mother and a grandmother. Her home was always welcoming.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Timko, Rose Hatley and Anna Cambria and three brothers, Joseph, Jack and Frank Cambria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Fr. John L. Miller III as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield.
At the funeral home on Friday, a Christian Vigil service will be held at 1:45 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited at 5:45 p.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield or to the charity of one’s choice.
