State police at Philipsburg
- An accident occurred Thursday in the rear parking lot of the Philipsburg Towers on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. Further, the operator of a vehicle was backing up and starting to turn when she struck a parked vehicle. The operator was wearing her seatbelt; she was not injured in the accident.
- The investigation is continuing into a death that occurred at a private residence on North Sixth Street sometime Wednesday or Thursday in Philipsburg Borough. The investigation, state police said, involved the death of a known 34-year-old Philipsburg woman. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
Clearfield Borough
- Police reported that a male was transported from Ogden Avenue to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
- Police received a report about a female juvenile who was allegedly threatened by several other juveniles. The incident, police said, remains under investigation.
- Police reported that several items were allegedly removed from residences in West Side.
- Police received a report about alleged damage to a vehicle while it was parked along North Third Street. Further, someone allegedly backed into the vehicle and left the scene.
- Police received a report about fireworks being set off on East Ninth Street. Police searched the area with negative results.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with an alleged domestic incident.
- Police received a report about a disturbance on West Front Street. Further, police found that a verbal altercation occurred between a male and a female.
- Police received a report about an alleged dispute between a male and female on Southwest Third Avenue.
- Police assisted a disabled motorist along Northwest Fourth Avenue.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a property dispute in the Glen Richey area. Further, police notified the individual involved that it would have to be handled in civil court.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual at the Edgewood Apartments.
- Police responded to an Old Town Road business for a male who was allegedly attempting to break in. Upon arrival police found the male had already fled the scene. Police noted there’s security footage of the male, and the incident remains under investigation.
- Police received a report about a found dog and placed it in the SPCA building. The dog was small and tan and black with a pink collar. The dog, police said, was found in the 104 Calvary Rd. area.
- Police received a report about a traffic hazard on the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway. Further, a dead deer was removed from the middle of the roadway.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday, police received a report about a false alarm at a Treasure Lake residence.
- While on patrol Wednesday, police attempted to stop the operator of a dirt bike that was traveling on South Eighth Street without any registration. While following the dirt bike, police witnessed the operator go through several stop signs and areas at a high rate of speed. The operator then went off the road, and police were unable to safely follow them. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- On Wednesday, police received a report about a man who was allegedly walking on the Behringer Highway and wearing orange pants and a shirt with “County Correctional” on it. The man was gone upon police arrival.
- On Thursday, Treasure Lake Security reported that the operator of a silver Jeep went through the front gate at a high rate of speed. When security attempted to follow, they witnessed the operator traveling at high rates of speed and passing a garbage truck. The operator then struck a deer and continued to flee the area. Security obtained the registration number of the vehicle. The incident, police said, remains under investigation.
- On Thursday, police received a report about a false alarm at a Treasure Lake residence.
- Two 14-year-old Sykesville girls were allegedly seen by Wal-Mart employees attempting to take $219.31 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it on Thursday. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- On Thursday, a 58-year-old DuBois woman reported that someone took a $25 lottery voucher that she had inadvertently left in a lottery machine at Pilot.
- On Thursday, police received a report about a false alarm at a Treasure Lake residence.
- On Thursday, police received reports about two false alarms at Hawbakers.
- A 24-year-old Big Run woman did not observe a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old New Jersey man who was traveling north on the Bee Line Highway on Thursday. She subsequently pulled from Shaffer Road at the blinking red light, causing the two to collide. Severe damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
