Andrew Glen Batcho, 66, of Clearfield died Friday, Aug. 1, 2014 at DuBois Penn Highlands.
He was born June 7, 1948 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Andrew ‘Andy’ and Betty (Visnofsky) Batcho.
Mr. Batcho owned Batcho Office Systems in downtown Clearfield. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, cooking and traveling. Always thinking of others, he put everyone else before him. Mr. Batcho was protestant by faith.
He was a member of the American Legion John Lewis Shade Post No. 6, Clearfield, and the Fraternal Order of Police, State College.
A veteran of the armed services, he was a member of the U.S. Air Force.
He’s survived by his wife, Linda (Twoey) Batcho, whom he wed Feb. 23, 1967, and three children, Andrew Glen Batcho Jr. and his wife, Kerrie of Aliquippa and Michelle Batcho and Kimberly Batcho-Norris and her husband, Matthew, both of Clearfield.
He’s’ survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons; three sisters, Betty Jean Gormont and her husband, Walter of Clearfield, Doris ‘Dorie’ White and her husband, Charles of Curwensville and Diane Kesner and her husband, Kim of Clearfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Jack Batcho.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Raymond Stiner officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Clearfield VFW and American Legion Posts’ Honor Guards.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hahne Regional Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
