State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of harassment and criminal mischief occurred Sunday on Lochlomond Road in Rush Township. During the incident, a Lewistown man allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat and pushed him into a parked vehicle. The man also allegedly kicked a door and damaged it.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of public drunkenness occurred Saturday on Oak Street in front of West End Grocery in Ridgway Township. During the incident, a 36-year-old Ridgway man was allegedly observed in a visibly intoxicated state. The man, state police said, was charged through the district court.
- An incident of harassment occurred Saturday on Redwood Avenue in Jay Township. During the incident, a 36-year-old Penfield man allegedly sent the victim numerous text messages in which he threatened physical harm. The man, state police said, was charged through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police investigated a two-vehicle accident in the area of Weaver and Nichols streets. Further, one operator was traveling northbound on Weaver Street when their car had brake system failure. It subsequently traveled through a stop sign and impacted a pick-up truck traveling eastbound on Nichols Street. The car’s operator sustained minor injuries and was transported to Clearfield Penn Highlands for medical treatment. The car sustained severe damage while the truck had minor damage, police said. The Clearfield Fire Department, Clearfield Emergency Medical Services and towing services assisted at the scene.
- A brown and black wallet was turned into the police station. It was located at the intersection of Merrill and Park streets.
- Police received a report about a minor accident at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds. Further, a Pottie Time truck struck the awning of a game trailer and caused minor damage.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female. Further, police found that she was OK and with family.
- Police received a report about a male who was allegedly under the influence at the Clearfield County Fair. The male was taken into custody and found to be in possession of medication that was not prescribed to him.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal trespass that occurred on Merrill Street. The suspect is known to police and the investigation is continuing at this time.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communication.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic assault at an East Eighth Street address. Further, a male was taken into custody for domestic violence and outstanding warrants.
- Police arraigned a South Fourth Street male on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest and harassment. Further, police received a report about a 9-1-1 hang-up call for a male who was allegedly in possession of a knife. The male also allegedly threatened his wife and police.
- Police received a report about a female who was allegedly attacked with a knife on West Pine Street. The female suffered injuries to her forearms, police said; the incident remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic assault that occurred in the East End area. However, police said that the parties were unwilling to cooperate with them.
- Police received a report about a loose dog in the area of Third Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
- Police reported making 11 arrests during the Clearfield County Fair for alcohol-related incidents.
- Police received a report about kids causing damage to a garage on East Pine Street. Police handled the incident at the scene.
Lawrence Township
- Police received several reports about dogs allegedly locked inside vehicles on Supercenter Drive.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle on the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway.
- Police received a report about an alleged verbal domestic dispute on Washington Avenue.
- Police received an animal call in Glen Richey where several horses were allegedly running on a resident’s property.
- Police received a report about a parking complaint that occurred on Weaver Street Extension.
- Police received a report about someone who lost their keys at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police received a report about an alleged fraud incident that occurred on Daisy Street.
- Police received a complaint about an individual’s dog.
- Police received a report about an alleged drunken motorist. Further, police located the vehicle in the parking lot behind the Clearfield Mall. The operator, police said, had warrants out and was transported to the Clearfield County Jail. It was also noted by police that charges will also be filed related to this incident.
- Police received a report about an alleged probation violation at a local business in Hyde.
- Police assisted emergency personnel with gaining access at the Edgewood Apartments. Further, an individual was transported to Clearfield Penn Highlands for evaluation.
- Police received a report about an alarm at the Discovery House. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.

- Police received a report about a dog that was allegedly locked inside a vehicle at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.

- Police received a request for a police escort. Further, police escorted approximately 150 motorcycles from state Route 879 to River Road and up the Rockton Mountain Highway to U.S. Route 322 toward DuBois.

- Police received a report about an alleged loitering incident. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival to the scene.
- Police received a call from a female who requested assistance with a civil issue. Police provided the female with information about the matter.

Curwensville Borough
- On Friday, a Rockton man was arrested for public drunkenness. He was subsequently lodged in the CCJ.
- Police assisted Curwensville Ambulance Saturday in the area of Bailor Drive.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an alleged retail theft incident Friday at a business in the 100 block of North Main Street. Employees advised police that a female entered the store with an empty bag and they observed her leaving with a full bag. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- On Saturday, police received a report about an alleged disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of West DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival a female told police that an unknown African-American male knocked on her door and struck her in the mouth with an open palm. She further told police the male fled with a known female in a sports utility vehicle. The incident, police said, remains under investigation with charges pending.
- Police received a report about an alleged drunken motorist in the area of Maple and Chestnut avenues on Saturday. Upon arrival police observed a vehicle being driven carelessly on Maple Avenue; its operator allegedly committed multiple traffic violations and hit the curb. Upon investigation police found the female operator was under the influence of alcohol and arrested her for DUI.
- Police received a report about a fight in progress Saturday in the 300 block of West Weber Avenue. Upon arrival police found a male had been assaulted by a known suspect who allegedly attempted to run him over with a vehicle. Police were also dispatched to their station to speak with the suspect who related the other male started the fight by punching out the window to his vehicle. The incident, police said, remains under investigation with charges pending.
- On Sunday, police observed the operator of a vehicle speeding on West Park Avenue. While attempting to catch up to the vehicle, police observed its operator running multiple stop signs. The operator, police said, was pulled over on South Avenue and found to be intoxicated. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI.
- During the week of July 27 through Aug. 2, police investigated three traffic accidents and issued 50 traffic citations and 11 written traffic warnings.
Sandy Township
- On Friday, police received a report about a vehicle that was off of the roadway after apparently hitting a deer. Upon investigation police found a vehicle located at the intersection of the Bee Line Highway and Coral Reef Road. There wasn’t anyone around the vehicle, which appeared to be drivable.
- Wal-Mart employees observed a 17-year-old DuBois girl attempting to take $88.43 worth of merchandise without paying for it on Friday. Retail theft charges were filed against the girl.
- On Sunday, employees of the Treasure Lake One Stop reported that a young male wearing a blue jean shirt and black jeans entered the store. The male wanted to purchase several items and advised the cashier his friend would be in to pay for gas. The occupants of the vehicle, however, left without paying for the gas; it was a small dark gray car, which headed to the front gate. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a false alarm at a Sierra Heights Road residence on Sunday.
- On Sunday, an 18-year-old man reported that his 37-year-old step-father was hitting his 37-year-old mother at their Red Oak Drive residence. Upon arrival the mother denied being injured and wanted to leave the residence. Police handled the situation without incident.
- A 17-year-old girl reported that a 38-year-old man threw her down the steps on Sunday. Upon arrival at a Pacific Avenue residence, the girl and her mother were outside and the girl had been drinking. Her mother said the girl started the altercation and the man did not throw her down the steps. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
