State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of harassment and disorderly conduct occurred July 22 on Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a group of individuals allegedly engaged in a verbal argument and attempted to turn it into a physical fight with each other. Two individuals, state police said, allegedly pushed each other before being separated and then everyone fled the scene. No charges have been filed at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police have initiated an investigation into an alleged theft incident in the area of Hand Lane.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute in the Lewis Road area. The individuals, police said, were separated without incident.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam in the area of Guinea Hill Road.
- Police received a report about alleged property damage. However, police determined the matter was civil in nature.
- Police received a report about an alarm at the National Guard Armory. However, it was found to be accidental and police were cancelled while en route.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of state Route 879 and South Second Street. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- Police received a parking complaint and issued a ticket on Smith Street.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday, an 18-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported she was being harassed via text message by her estranged boyfriend’s mother and two other known women. Police handled the situation without incident.
- A 25-year-old Brockway woman and a 29-year-old DuBois man allegedly attempted to sell a stolen ring to a DuBois Mall Jewelry store on Wednesday. Police located the pair, as they attempted to leave the mall. The Brockway woman was transported to DuBois Penn Highlands due to a possible overdose and the man was taken into custody. The man was then turned over to the Pennsylvania State Parole.
- On Thursday, a Sylvan Heights resident reported that someone rang the doorbell at his residence. Police searched the area but could not locate the perpetrator.
- On Thursday, Pet Place employees reported there was an irate customer who would not leave the store. Police handled the situation without incident.
