Leonard L. Glace Jr., 71, of Clearfield died Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Ridgeview Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
He was born Oct. 6, 1942, a son of the late Leonard L. Sr. and Betty (Miller) Glace.
Mr. Glace retired from Avery Coal Co., Wallaceton, and had also worked for various construction companies throughout the Clearfield area. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was protestant by faith.
He is survived by seven children, Valerie Vargas and her husband, Tony, Tammy Wilsoncroft and her husband, Ron and Gregory Glace, all of Clearfield; Dan Glace and his wife, Lisa K. of Spring Valley; Veronica Edwards and her husband, Brian of Hollidaysburg; David Glace and his wife, Lisa L. of Curwensville; and Joseph Glace and his wife, Tammy S. of Grampian.
He’s also survived by 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth Kephart, Esther Neeper and Thelma Maines, all of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia J. (Smeal) Glace, on June 3, 1967 and whom he wed Jan. 12, 1963, and his second wife, Eleanor R. (Wright) Glace on June 1, 2011 and whom he wed Dec. 23, 1967 in Clearfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Brenda Libreatori officiating. Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health-Hospice, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield.
