Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alarm at the Clearfield Area Middle School. Upon arrival police found a power surge caused the alarm.
- Police received a report about a traffic hazard at the intersection of West Front Street and River Road. Upon arrival police found the traffic signal had stopped working due to a power surge.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft and criminal mischief from a resident on Montgomery Run Road.
- Police received a report about kids walking on the railroad tracks along River Road. Upon arrival police found adults who were advised to stay off the tracks.
- Police received a report about a tree blocking both lanes of traffic along the Old Penfield Highway. The township road crew removed the tree, police said.
- Police received a report about a missing juvenile. The juvenile, police said, was later located at the Glen Richey Fireman’s Park and taken back to her residence.
- Police received a report about an alleged telephone scam. Further, a male contacted a township resident advising he was with the Internal Revenue Service. However, it was found the male was not and this was a scam. Police have advised residents to verify these types of calls and not to provide any personal information.
- Police received a call about a person who was on the Megan’s Law list.
- Police conducted a traffic stop along Lawhead Street. During the stop, police found the operator had consumed alcohol and transported them to the hospital for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle off of the roadway along state Route 879. The operator, police said, arranged to have the vehicle removed from the scene.
DuBois City
- On Thursday, police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred on West Park Avenue. Further, the victim told police he was walking when a known juvenile male drove up and started yelling and threatening him. Also, the victim told police the juvenile was trying to get him to engage in a fight. However, the victim indicated he fled the scene to call police. The juvenile was located by police and will receive multiple citations for the incident.
- On Thursday, police received a report about an alleged burglary that occurred on West Scribner Avenue. Further, the victim told police someone had entered her residence and removed multiple items. During the investigation, police located the suspect and charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute Thursday in the 100 block of West Weber Avenue. Upon arrival police found two sisters had engaged in a mutual fight. Both had injuries to their facial areas from the altercation, police said. Charges will be filed against both women.
- Police received a report about an alarm Thursday at Alberts Court. Upon arrival police searched the area of the residence and found everything to be OK.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday, a Wasson Avenue resident reported loud music coming from a neighbor’s house. However, the neighbor turned down their music prior to police arrival.
- A vehicle driven by a 27-year-old Brockway man exited the roadway and struck a utility pole on the Rich Highway on Thursday. Upon arrival police found that the pole was sheared off and wires were lying across the roadway, which was closed for a short period of time. The man, police said, reported a head injury.
- A 43-year-old Reynoldsville man reported Thursday that when he came out of Lowe’s there was a known 27-year-old Luthersburg man taking pictures of the back of his work truck. When the man noticed him, he and a 32-year-old DuBois man left the scene.
- A 37-year-old South Main Street man reported Thursday that someone entered his house and smashed several antique dishes. He believed it to be his 29-year-old estranged girlfriend. Police contacted the woman who denied entering the house.
- On Thursday, Treasure Lake Security reported that someone shot at an exploding target near the stump dump. They also reported the loud explosion shook several houses; afterward, a white pick-up truck was observed leaving the area.
