State police at Clearfield

• An incident of theft/criminal mischief occurred sometime between May 26 and Friday on Lookout Lane in Bradford Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole the victim’s fire ring and left air out of their driver’s side, rear vehicle tire.
• An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between Wednesday and Friday on Clearfield Street in Wallaceton Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s garage window. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• An accident occurred Friday on the Philipsburg – Bigler Highway in Bradford Township. Further, the operator of a vehicle was traveling eastbound. At the same time, Paige K. Shimmel of Wallaceton was traveling westbound. The Shimmel vehicle was struck in the undercarriage by an unknown solid object that was thrown from the eastbound vehicle’s tires while it was in motion. The Shimmel vehicle came to a rest in the Bigler Minit Mart parking lot due to it overheating and losing antifreeze fluid. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Shimmel contacted a tow agency regarding her vehicle.

State police at DuBois

• An incident of theft occurred sometime between July 15 and Thursday at the rear of Daugherty Industries in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly removed an automotive battery from a tractor and then fled the scene. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
• An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on state Route 830 in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, state police stopped a vehicle operated by a 23-year-old Falls Creek man. He was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest for suspected DUI. Charges are currently pending at this time.
• No injuries were reported after an accident July 15 on Game School Road in Snyder Township. Melissa K. Welsh of DuBois was traveling westbound when multiple deer entered the roadway and impacted her vehicle. Welsh swerved to the right, at which point her vehicle crossed the westbound shoulder and impacted a large tree. Welsh was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

State police at Philipsburg

• An incident of harassment occurred Thursday on B Street in Rush Township. During the incident, two Philipsburg women allegedly engaged in a physical altercation. Charges were filed through the district court as a result of the incident.
• An incident of theft occurred sometime between July 14 and Friday on State Street in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a female motorcycle helmet, which was dark pink in color. The helmet was valued at $200, state police said.
• An incident of theft occurred Friday at the Skate Park in Philipsburg Borough. Further, the victim’s skateboard went missing; however, it was located underneath a piece of cardboard.
• A protection from abuse order violation occurred in the 300 block of Rolling Stone Road on Saturday. During the incident, the accused who wasn’t identified allegedly engaged in a verbal argument with the victim. The accused also allegedly tackled the victim, state police said.
• A PFA violation occurred Saturday on North 10^th Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, the accused who wasn’t identified allegedly called the victim several times.
• An incident of DUI occurred Sunday on SR 350 in Rush Township. During the incident, state police stopped a 53-year-old Bradford woman for several traffic violations. Upon investigation state police allegedly found she was under the influence of alcohol and she was taken to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for blood testing. Charges for DUI and several summary traffic violations are pending blood test results.
• An incident of retail theft occurred Thursday on Spotts Road in Union Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed merchandise without paying for it at Mountain View Farm and Landscape. The suspect, state police said, is a female with a slender build and in her late 20’s. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
• An incident of theft occurred Thursday on South Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. Further, the victim has alleged that $20 in quarters went missing from her apartment.
• An incident of identity theft occurred Wednesday on East Spruce Street in Port Matilda Borough. Further, the victim alleged that three, fraudulent Verizon accounts were opened in her name. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
• On Thursday, a male reported losing a firearm sometime in the past three weeks on Firetown Road in Rush Township. The firearm, state police said, was later located.
• An incident of harassment occurred Sunday on Penn Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a couple allegedly engaged in a verbal argument. The dispute, state police said, turned physical when they both allegedly grabbed a hold of each other. Both parties were cited for harassment as a result of the incident.
• An incident of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct occurred Sunday on East Spruce Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 38-year-old Philipsburg woman was allegedly intoxicated and engaged in a verbal argument with her boyfriend. She allegedly caused a public alarm and prompted nearby neighbors to contact state police. Charges were filed through the district court as a result of the incident.

Clearfield Borough

• Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief at a South Third Street residence. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of sexual assault against children.  The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
• Police received a report about a juvenile female who was attempting to harm herself with a knife.  Upon arrival police made contact with the female, calming her.  Crisis personnel also assisted police at the scene.
• Police received a report about a child who was screaming on East Cherry Street. The complaint was unfounded, police said.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual on East Locust Street.
• Police received a report about a psychological emergency on North Second Street.  The patient, police said, was transported to Clearfield Penn Highlands.
• Police received a report about an alleged dog bite incident on East Ninth Street. Further, police notified animal control about the incident.
• Police received a report about the alleged theft of solar lights on West Sixth Avenue. The incident, police said, remains a part of an ongoing investigation.
• Police received a report about a barking dog on South Fourth Street.
• Police received a report about an argument at St. Charles Café. Upon arrival police separated the involved parties without further incident.
• Police responded to Clearfield Penn Highlands about an alleged child abuse incident.
• Police received a report about an alleged disturbance on Bigler Avenue. Upon arrival police found the actor had left the scene.

Lawrence Township

• Police were requested to check the welfare of a male pushing a baby stroller up Rockton Mountain. The male was gone upon police arrival.
• Police received a report about a suspicious item along the Clearfield – Shawville Highway. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
• Police received a report about a panhandler along the Clearfield – Shawville Highway. The individual was gone upon police arrival.
• Police received a report about an open door on Hall Street. Upon arrival police checked the residence and found everything to be OK.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespass by motor vehicle on River Road.
• Police received a report about a stranded motorist at the Clearfield Mall. Police were assisted by towing services at the scene.
• Police conducted a traffic stop along Industrial Park Road in Wolf Run. Upon investigation police found a 32-year-old Clearfield man was wanted by the state police at Philipsburg for an aggravated assault incident. The man, police said, was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail pending extradition to Centre County.
• Police received a report about a traffic complaint that occurred on Fullerton Street.
• Police received a report about a male who was threatening other individuals in the area of Calvary Road. The incident, police said, remains under investigation.
• Police received a report about suspicious vehicles at an abandoned building. The vehicles were gone upon police arrival.
• Police received a report about young children riding bikes on Village Road. Upon arrival police spoke to the children about proper roadway safety.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who had threatened to harm himself. Further, police located the male and he spoke with crisis personnel.
• Police received a noise complaint on Clarendon Avenue.

DuBois City

• On Friday, police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief at Shower’s Field. Upon arrival police found someone had ripped a stall door from its hinges in one of the bathrooms. Police collected evidence at the scene; however, the incident remains under investigation at this time. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
• On Saturday, police received a report about an alarm at a business in the 300 block of Liberty Boulevard. Upon arrival police found an employee had accidentally set off the alarm.
• On Saturday, police contacted a female about an alleged incident of theft of services that occurred on Rumbarger Avenue. The victim told police she’d been babysitting for a couple since January and they haven’t paid her as agreed upon. The incident, police said, remains under investigation with charges pending.
• On Saturday, police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft that occurred at a business on Hoover Avenue. Upon arrival police found a male had allegedly entered the store and removed 12 nasal strips. Police were provided with video surveillance and have a suspect. The incident, police said, remains under investigation with charges pending.
• On Sunday, police received a report about an alarm at a business in the 300 block of Liberty Boulevard. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
• During the week of July 13 through Saturday, police investigated four motor vehicle accidents and issued 48 traffic citations and 10 written traffic warnings.

Sandy Township

• Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance Friday at an Atlantic Avenue residence.  Further, a 63-year-old woman and her 31-year-old daughter allegedly engaged in a verbal argument.  Police handled the situation without incident.
• An employee of Snappy’s reported Friday that someone in a silver vehicle struck his vehicle while they were backing out of a parking space. The other operator then left the scene.  A customer that was pumping gas witnessed the incident and got the vehicle’s license plate number. Police contacted the owner and handled the situation without incident.
• On Saturday, a 27-year-old Brockway woman allegedly confronted a known 33-year-old Brockway man at Isabella’s, which resulted in a fight involving several patrons. The man, along with a 27-year-old DuBois man, was injured as a result of the fight but declined medical treatment.
• A Parrish Road man reported Saturday that someone slashed a tire on his vehicle while it was at a Dodd Road residence.
• A vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Penfield man was stopped in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, waiting for a parking space on Saturday. The man backed up to give another operator room to pull out and struck a vehicle behind him.  Minor damage and no injuries were reported.
• A false alarm occurred Saturday at a Treasure Lake residence.
• On Saturday, a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Penfield man was stopped waiting for a vehicle to turn from the Bee Line Highway. At the same time, a vehicle driven by a DuBois man struck his vehicle from behind. The DuBois man was cited for driving too fast for conditions; no injuries and moderate damage were reported.
• On Sunday, a 43-year-old North Huntington man backed his vehicle down an embankment in Treasure Lake. The man was attempting to make a U-turn on Bay Road.  No injuries were reported.
• Two vehicles were involved in a minor accident Sunday in the Perkins parking lot.  No injuries and minor damage were reported.
• A false alarm occurred Sunday at a Treasure Lake residence.
• On Sunday, the operators of two vehicles were backing out of parking spaces in the Wal-Mart parking lot and hit each other. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage; no injuries were reported.
• A 71-year-old Salada Road man requested police to remove his grandson from his residence.  Upon arrival police spoke to both parties involved and found the man to be intoxicated. The situation, police said, was handled without incident.
• A 47-year-old Circle Road man reported Sunday that someone stole a “No Trespassing” sign from his yard.
