Elsie R. Wesesky, 84, of Philipsburg died Friday, July 11, 2014 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born Feb. 4, 1930 in Port Matilda, she was a daughter of the late John Quincy and Mary (Blazosky) Adams.
She was a 1948 graduate of Philipsburg High School. She was employed at the former General Cigar factory and also a homemaker.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Philipsburg. She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved her daily soaps and spent many hours reading her Bible.
On July 2, 1956 in Winchester, Va., she married Andrew Wesesky, whom preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 2002.
She is survived by two sons, Mark A. Wesesky and his wife, Beth of Pittsburgh and Christopher Wesesky and his wife, Diane of Philipsburg; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Wesesky of Clearfield.
She’s also survived by three sisters, Mabel Wilkinson of Bellefonte, Lucy Kephart of Philipsburg and Anna Leforte of Alliance, Ohio; three grandchildren, David and Christina of Philipsburg and Luke of Pittsburgh; a step-granddaughter, Angel of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Matthew A. Wesesky; a sister, Edith Hackman; and a brother, Matthew Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Clifford A. Johnston officiating.
Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
