Terril “Terry” Stiles Sr., 76, of Houtzdale died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at his residence. Born July 2, 1938 in Burlington, NJ, he was the son of George W. and Hazel Stiles.
Mr. Stiles was a member of the Brisbin Baptist Church. He was employed as the lead utility analyst operator of the Penn State water treatment plant until his retirement. Mr. Stiles was an avid model train enthusiast.
On July 10, 2004 in Brisbin, he married Josephine Truax Stiles, who survives at home.
He’s survived by two daughters, Tammy Maciocha and her husband, Rich of Mantua, NJ and Cindy Stiles of Mount Laurel, NJ; two sons, Terry Stiles and his wife, Kim of Houtzdale and Ricky Stiles and his wife, Michelle of Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
Also surviving are his step-children, Patti Barrelle and her husband, Gary of Loganville, Ga., Rich Truax and his wife, Sherri and Glenn Truax, both of Houtzdale, Margie Carr and her husband, Bob of Ohio, and Alan Lindenberg and his wife, Gail of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; a number of nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Sandra Eminhzer of Houtzdale.
Mr. Stiles was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George W. Stiles Jr. and his wife, Josephine “Dolly” Stiles.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Brisbin Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Melhorn officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.
