John A. Harris, 54, of Curwensville and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his residence.
Born May 10, 1960 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Ray Harris and Patricia (Quade) Harris Bouch. He had served in the Army National Guard for several years.
He was employed by Wickett and Craig of America in Curwensville. Prior to that, he’d worked for Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital for 11 years.
Surviving are his father of Clearfield; his mother and step-father, George Bouch of LaJose; a daughter, Jody Rice of LaJose; a son John M. Harris of Niagara Falls, NY and his fiancée, Debra Straw of Curwensville.
Also surviving are four grandchildren Dominic, Heather, Ben and Skylar (Pappy’s little sweetheart) and a brother, Ken Harris and his wife, Sue of Hyde, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and five nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and a brother, Ray A. Harris.
At the request of Mr. Harris, there will be no public visitation. There will be a public memorial gathering 11 a.m. July 19 at the LaJose United Methodist Church Social Hall on Market Street in LaJose.
