Benten A. Ramey, 69, of Frenchville died Monday, June 16, 2014 at the James E. Van Zandt VA Center, Altoona.
Born Sept. 22, 1944 in DuBois, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Dorothy Horner Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey was a veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
He’s survived by his daughter, Emily Ramsey of Frenchville; two sons, Jason Ramsey of Dallas, Texas and Seth Ramsey of Ridgway; one brother, Clifford Ramsey of Holidaysburg; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Ramsey was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery, Karthaus, with the Rev. Matthew Finney officiating.
Burial will be in the Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery, Karthaus.
