The “Doggone 5K” was held in conjunction with Curwensville Lake’s “Doggone Fun Day.” It was a day full of activities to celebrate pets.
Pet owners enjoyed a spring day with their dog and helped kick off the opening of the Curwensville Lake Recreation Area Dog Park. The park is a new facility for a dog’s exercise and enjoyment.
All proceeds from the 5K benefited the Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic/Animal Welfare Council and needy local animals. The support from the participants, volunteers and sponsors with helping area animals was greatly appreciated.
