State police at Clearfield
- No injuries were reported after a commercial vehicle accident Wednesday on the Shawville Highway in Bradford Township. Donald G. Jenkins, 40, of Rock Creek, Ohio was traveling northbound and negotiating a right-hand turn. At that point, his vehicle’s load shifted, causing it to overturn; his vehicle subsequently sustained disabling damage. Jenkins’ vehicle was towed from the scene; he was cited for the accident.
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Thursday on Interstate 80 westbound near mile-marker 123.6 in Bradford Township. Arthur W. Greene of Brooklyn, NY was traveling westbound in the left-hand lane of travel. Rebecca Giddens of Newark, NJ was traveling in the right-hand lane and attempting a lane change. At that point, she struck the Greene vehicle in the two-o’clock position, causing it to slide off the roadway and into an embankment. Greene attempted to steer his vehicle back onto the roadway; however, its rear slid in a clockwise rotation. As his vehicle slid around, its left, rear wheel got caught; the vehicle overturned onto its roof. The Giddens vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene; the Greene vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Giddens and her passenger were not injured. Greene and his passengers sustained minor injuries and were transported to UPMC Altoona and Clearfield Penn Highlands for treatment.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of public drunkenness occurred Wednesday on E Street near Hemlock Street in Rush Township. Further, a 42-year-old Philipsburg woman was allegedly found highly intoxicated and lying in the roadway. She allegedly wasn’t able to walk due to her high level of intoxication. She was transported from the scene and released into the care of her aunt. The woman was cited for the incident.
Curwensville Borough
- On Wednesday, police received complaints about off-the-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles being operated in the area of the Curwensville Commons and Ridge Avenue.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a 40-year-old DuBois woman who was allegedly observed Monday by Wal-Mart employees concealing candy and opening a box and eating it inside the store. The woman was also allegedly yelling and physically combative when police arrived and she had to be restrained. The woman admitted to taking the items, as well as several electronics a few days earlier. Police transported the woman to Penn Highlands DuBois for an evaluation due to her behavior being consistent with drug use. Charges are to be filed, police said.
- Police received a report about two females who were in the Wal-Mart parking lot and allegedly asking people for money on Monday. The females were gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at PNC Bank on Monday.
- Police received a false alarm at PNC Bank on Tuesday.
- Police received a report about two dogs that were allegedly inside a vehicle outside of TJ Maxx on Tuesday. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about a 27-year-old woman and her husband who allegedly engaged in a verbal dispute in the K-Mart parking lot on Tuesday. The situation was handled without incident.
- Police received a false alarm at PNC Bank on Tuesday.
- Police received a report about a child who was allegedly locked out of his residence Tuesday on Ollie Lane. Upon arrival police spoke with the child’s mother who advised she had locked herself out. As a result, she’d gone to the rear of the residence to get in; her son was screaming while she was opening the door. Both were OK, police said.
- On Wednesday, police received a report from a 75-year-old DuBois woman who said that while at McDonalds, another motorist damaged the front door of her vehicle. Minor damage and no injuries were reported.
- Police received several calls Wednesday about dogs being inside of vehicles in parking lots. All of the dogs were checked and none were in distress, police said.
- On Wednesday, police received a report from a Hanes Drive woman who said a known dog put its mouth around her daughter’s leg and left marks. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Wednesday, County Control reported that a Harper Road resident called 9-1-1 and hung up. Upon calling back, they were directed to voicemail. Upon speaking to the 24-year-old phone owner, police determined it to be an accident.
- On Wednesday, Treasure Lake Security reported that a stray black shepherd dog had been turned over to them. Police picked up the dog and will turn it over to the Dog Law Officer.

Decatur Township
- The Decatur Township police have announced a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who damaged the new lighting equipment for the basketball court on Fairview Road. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Decatur Township police at 814-339-6775.
