William R. Corrigan Sr., 79, of Sandy Ridge died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey.
Born Oct. 9, 1934, he was the son of the late Harvey and Mary (Flood) Corrigan. He married Donna F. (Jenkins) Corrigan on June 22, 1957 in Winchester, Va. and who survives at home.
Mr. Corrigan was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Sandy Ridge. He served in the Army National Guard for eight years and retired as commercial printer for Biddle Publishing Company in Huntingdon.
He was also a retired owner and operator of the former Bilco Printing in Sandy Ridge. He was a 1952 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Lou Corrigan; four sisters; and two brothers.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Corrigan is survived by a daughter, Lisa F. Carr and her husband, Mark of Houtzdale; a son, William R. Corrigan Jr. and his wife, Mary Jane of Sandy Ridge; and four grandchildren, Shannon Hawkins, Jason Arroyo, Alyssa Carr and Alex Carr.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with Pastor Jennifer C. Heikes officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
