State police at Clearfield
- An incident of harassment occurred Monday in the True Value parking lot along U.S. Route 322 in Decatur Township. During the incident, two Philipsburg men allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation for unknown reasons. Their verbal altercation, state police said, continued inside the store. Both will be cited through the district court.
- An incident of harassment occurred Saturday at the Hill Street Commons in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a 40-year-old Philipsburg man allegedly sent several unwanted text messages to the victim. The man was previously warned by state police; charges were filed through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of theft occurred sometime between March 1 and June 27 on Richardsville Road in Warsaw Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole 100 gallons of fuel oil from the victim’s residential tank. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- Daniel P. Doerr, 34, of Fredericktown allegedly failed to report a change in address after he left Just for Jesus in Snyder Township. It’s required of him within 72 hours under Megan’s Law registration procedures. State police subsequently filed a charge against him for the same, and a warrant was issued on Monday. On Tuesday, Doerr went to the state police at Washington and turned himself in. He was transported back by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. He was arraigned with his bail being set at $50,000 straight.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft occurred sometime between May 13 and June 15 at the Minit Mart in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly took money from the victim’s bank account. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An incident of burglary/theft by unlawful taking occurred sometime between Jan. 9 and June 27 on Birch Street in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s residence and removed approximately 30, $50 bonds valued at $3,459.60.
- An incident of harassment occurred Monday on South Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, two Philipsburg residents allegedly engaged in a physical altercation. Charges are to be filed through the district court.
- An incident of harassment/disorderly conduct occurred Sunday in the area of Lochlomond Road and East Pine Street in Rush Township/Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 13-year-old girl and the victim allegedly engaged in a dispute over Facebook. The girl allegedly proceeded to run into the borough and acted disorderly when she was forced to return home. Once returning home, the girl allegedly struck two more victims before being restrained. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The girl was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct.
Lawrence Township
- Police received an animal call from a Glen Richey resident. Further, the resident told police a miniature horse was back on their property.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a bank along the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway. The alarm was unfounded, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged reckless driver along state Route 879. Further, police will make contact with them and a citation is currently pending.
- Police received a call regarding civil questions.
- Police received a traffic complaint about operators allegedly traveling in coal trucks without any tarps on the Krebs Highway.
- Police received a traffic complaint involving motorcyclists on Kaufman’s Road.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a child who wasn’t properly restrained in a safety seat.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on Mann Road.
- Police were contacted about a non-reportable accident on the entrance roadway to the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police were contacted about a non-reportable accident at the Best Western Plus.
- Police were contacted about a wanted Erie man. Further, police took the 21-year-old man into custody on a bench warrant and lodged him at the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police were contacted about a non-reportable accident at the intersection of SR 879 and Wolf Run.
- Police received a report about downed electrical lines on Coal Hill Road.
- Police were contacted about civil issues that occurred on Washington Avenue.
- Police received a report about an alleged burglary on Clarendon Avenue.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Mount Joy Road. Upon arrival police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police assisted emergency personnel on Patton Street.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged theft, which didn’t occur in Curwensville. The caller was referred to the proper agency.
- Police received a report about an alleged harassment incident that occurred in the area of Hill Street.
- Police responded to Lincoln Avenue and talked to the homeowners. No further action was required of police.
- Police received a report that someone allegedly entered a Moose Street residence and removed medication.
DuBois City
- On Monday, police received a report about a patient who was being treated for stab wounds at DuBois Penn Highlands. Upon arrival police found the victim had two, minor stab wounds in his chest. At that point, he advised police he didn’t want anything done because he wasn’t a “cop caller.” He told police the stabbing incident occurred on West Washington Avenue; he then allegedly became very uncooperative. Due to his unwillingness to cooperate, police have closed the incident.
- On Monday, police received a report about an intoxicated male inside a store on Hoover Avenue. Upon arrival police found the male to be intoxicated to the point that he was a danger to himself and others. The male was arrested for public drunkenness.
- Police received a report about an alleged fraud incident on Monday. The victim was allegedly contacted by someone who was impersonating as a prospective employer. It was noted that the victim was asked to send money first, which she refused to do and contacted police. The incident remains under investigation.
- On Tuesday, police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The victim showed police where someone had allegedly put speckles of paint on their vehicle. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- On Tuesday, police received a report about an alarm inside a business in the 800 block of Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK; no further action was required of police.
- On Tuesday, police received a report about a male patient who was allegedly causing a disturbance in the emergency room at DuBois Penn Highlands. Upon arrival police found the male was intoxicated. He had been transported there after being arrested by Brockway police. Police cleared the scene once the male calmed down.
- During the week of June 22-28, police investigated six traffic accidents and issued 30 citations and nine written warnings.
