State police at Clearfield
- An incident of propulsion of missiles occurred Friday on Route 153 at the Christ the King Church in Houtzdale Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly threw an egg and struck the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damage, state police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- On Saturday, a 19-year-old Effort man was stopped for a speeding violation on Interstate 80 eastbound at mile-marker 117.8 in Lawrence Township. Upon making contact with him, state police allegedly found him in possession of marijuana. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation with charges pending.
- An incident of public drunkenness occurred Sunday on U.S. Route 322 in Bradford Township. During the incident, a 21-year-old Snow Shoe man was allegedly discovered under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the state police at Clearfield and released into the custody of his mother. Charges were filed through the district court.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Saturday or Sunday on Logan Road in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used a blunt object to cause damage to mailboxes. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- Two teens were injured after a single-vehicle accident Saturday on the Curwensville – Tyrone Highway in Knox Township. Further, an Olanta boy was traveling southbound when he overcompensated the turn to swerve from a deer in the roadway. His vehicle exited off the west berm and traveled approximately five yards before striking a tree. The boy’s vehicle sustained disabling damage to its front end and radiator. Both the boy and his passenger sustained minor injuries; both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
- Minor injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday on the Lumber City Highway in Pike Township. Further, a Curwensville boy was traveling westbound when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck an embankment. His vehicle subsequently overturned and came to a final rest on the south berm. The boy was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for treatment of his injuries; he was also cited for the accident.
- An incident of harassment occurred Monday on Pruner Street in Osceola Mills Borough. During the incident, three people were allegedly involved in a verbal and physical altercation. Charges are being filed through the district court.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sunday on Whitman Street in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly threw three eggs at the victim’s 2001 Oldsmobile Alero, striking the driver’s side doors. No damage was reported, state police said. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred Dec. 12, 2013 on Parsonville Road in Houtzdale. Christoff Mitchell Petroleum Inc. delivered heating oil to a 25-year-old Punxsutawney man. When attempting to cash a check for the owed balance, the business received notification of insufficient funds. The check was made out for $524.85. Charges were filed through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident that occurred Friday on East Main Street in Sykesville Borough. Troy W. Benson, 40, of DuBois was traveling southbound; a Reynoldsville male was traveling northbound. Benson traveled into the opposite lane and impacted the male’s vehicle. State police were assisted by the Sykesville Volunteer Fire Department.
- The investigation is continuing into a motorcycle accident that occurred Saturday at the intersection of Route 219 and U.S. Route 322 in Brady Township. Further, the operator struck a concrete island, which propelled them from the motorcycle and caused major head trauma. The operator’s name was withheld until the family is located and notified of the accident investigation.
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on Main Street in Reynoldsville Borough. Further, a 27-year-old Reynoldsville woman was traveling eastbound when her vehicle drifted off the right side of the roadway. It struck an unoccupied, legally parked vehicle and ricocheted back onto the roadway. The vehicle traveled eastbound approximately 105 feet before coming to a final rest. The woman was taken into custody for suspected DUI and charges will be filed pending blood test results.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of public drunkenness occurred Thursday on Water Street near the Fleck Trailer Court in Philipsburg Borough. Further, a 58-year-old man was allegedly involved with the incident, which remains under investigation at this time.
- No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday on the Port Matilda Highway west of the Richard Street intersection in Rush Township. Lindsy M. Maines, 22, of Philipsburg was stopped due to traffic ahead. Ronald L. Raymond, 63, of Philipsburg failed to slow and impacted the left side of Maines’ rear bumper. Both Maines and Raymond drove their vehicles into a parking lot after the accident. Maines and Raymond were wearing their seatbelts; Raymond was cited for the accident.
- An incident of criminal trespass occurred Sunday on East Pine Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s residence. The victim told police when she returned home, she found her locked front door open. She said although there weren’t any items taken, others were moved around. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An incident of harassment occurred Saturday on East Spruce Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, two Philipsburg residents allegedly engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical when they started pushing, shoving and striking each other. Both were cited through the district court.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of recklessly endangering/criminal mischief occurred Friday on Route 219 south of Boot Jack Auto in Ridgway Township. Further, the victim was traveling south when someone allegedly shot at and struck her vehicle in the rear, passenger side door. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
- On Friday, a dirt bike/motorcycle was located in the Scotland Street area of Fox Township. The owner can claim it by contacting the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
- Minor injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident Saturday on Wilcox Road in Jones Township. Adam G. Redmond, 35, of St. Marys was traveling northbound when his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane, causing him to lose control of it. His vehicle traveled back across both lanes and impacted the guiderails on the east side of the roadway. His vehicle continued south along the guiderail for approximately 30 feet to where it came to a final rest. State police found Redmond wasn’t traveling at a safe speed and he was issued a warning. Redmond was wearing his seatbelt.
- An incident of theft occurred sometime Saturday or Sunday on the North Star Aggregate Property off of Route 948 in Ridgway Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took various tools from a utility trailer; the items were valued at $3,190. - An incident of criminal mischief occurred Saturday or Sunday on Delaware Avenue in Highland Township. During the incident, someone allegedly cut the inside left, front tire on the victim’s vehicle. - An incident of theft occurred sometime between March 1 and Friday on Byrnedale Road in Fox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a truck radiator, battery and a farm tractor radiator from the victim’s property. - Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on Woodland Road. Upon checking the area, police were unable to locate the vehicles.

- Police received a report about an unattended child along Montgomery Run Road. The child, police said, was returned to their parents.

Decatur Township
- Police have received several complaints about traffic violations. Further, police will provide patrols and enforcement against violators.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment and disorderly conduct in Osceola Mills. The incident, police said, involved a male and female who were advised to cease their actions to which they complied to.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of two all-terrain vehicles. With assistance from the state police, officers located the ATVs and suspects. Police took one juvenile male and one adult male into custody; they are facing charges as a result of the incident.
- Police received a report about an alleged trespassing incident on Baughman Cemetery Road. Further, police located the suspect.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of fraud from a Decatur Township woman. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct in Osceola Mills. Upon investigation police found a known male was allegedly yelling and using foul language from his moving vehicle while speeding through the borough. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of scattering rubbish in the area of the Old Erie Pike. Further, police would like the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) involved.
- Police received a report about a physical domestic dispute in progress in Houtzdale Borough. Upon arrival police found a known male was deceased due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Morris-Cooper Regional police, state police at Clearfield, emergency personnel and the Clearfield County Coroner assisted at the scene.
- Police received a report about a missing 13-year-old juvenile. The juvenile was located prior to police arrival at the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment and protection from abuse violation. Upon arrival police made contact with a known female; the incident remains under investigation at this time.
