HYDE — The Clearfield American Legion Post 6 baseball team added two more wins to its total because Altoona has dropped out of the Central Penn League, according to manager Sid Lansberry.
The Blair County entry forfeited Monday’s game booked for the Bison Sports Complex and the return game scheduled at Bellwood Tuesday evening.
At 7-5 in the CPL, the Chiefs are in the thick of the chase for third place and fourth place, which would give them home field advantage for the first round of the championship playoffs.
Clearfield, 9-7 overall, will travel to Lewistown to take on second-place Mifflin County Wednesday and then welcome Bellefonte to the Bison Sports Complex Thursday.
