State police at Clearfield
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Wednesday or Thursday on the Ginter-Morann Highway in Gulich Township. During the incident, someone allegedly poured silver oil-based paint on a 2012 Ford Escape and a Chevrolet Cavalier. Damage, state police said, is estimated at $2,000; the incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An incident criminal mischief occurred sometime Tuesday or Wednesday on Meyer Road in Morrisdale. During the incident, someone allegedly drove onto the victim’s property and ran over hedges. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of burglary/criminal trespass occurred sometime Thursday or Friday on Oak Grove Road in Morris Township. During the incident, someone forced open a window to the residence. State police said it is unknown if anything was stolen; the victim is currently renovating the residence. State police at DuBois
- An incident of theft of a motor vehicle occurred sometime Tuesday or Wednesday on Third Street in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly stole the victim’s 2005 Mercury Mariner, which was dark gray in color. The vehicle, state police said, was recovered in DuBois City on Wednesday; the incident remains under investigation at this time. - An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred Thursday at Jewell’s Auto & Bus Service on Reynoldsville/Sykesville Road in Reynoldsville. During the incident, a 29-year-old Erie man was allegedly observed in the process of stealing fuel from a fleet of vehicles. He was charged with theft, criminal trespass, loitering and prowling at nighttime and criminal mischief. He was placed in the Jefferson County Jail to await arraignment; the incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An incident of theft occurred June 21-22 at a reclaimed strip mine property west of Saxon Hill Road in Winslow Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole the victim’s 1998 Honda 300 EX that had broken down. It was red and black in color, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of harassment occurred Friday on Phoenix Road in Rush Township. During the incident, a 32-year-old Philipsburg man and the victim engaged in a verbal argument, which turned physical. The man allegedly grabbed the victim by her ankle and twisted it. He also allegedly pulled her hair and grabbed her by the neck. The man was cited for harassment as a result of the incident.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of theft, fraud and forgery occurred June 12 on the Million Dollar Highway in Jay Township. Upon investigation state police found a 24-year-old Force man allegedly removed and forged a check. Charges are to be filed through the district court.
Lawrence Township
- Police assisted the operator of a tow truck with traffic control while they removed a disabled tractor-trailer from in front of the Clearfield Mall.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a dog that was allegedly locked inside a vehicle with the windows up at Arby’s.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft from a motor vehicle.
- Police assisted with serving a search warrant at a residence on Mount Joy Road.
- Police received a report about a business alarm along Fulton Street. However, police were cancelled while en route to the scene.
- Police received a report about a hold-up alarm at a business along state Route 879. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about an alleged property dispute on Washington Avenue in Hyde.
- Police assisted the township’s code enforcement officer in the Glen Richey area.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation in the Smith Street area. Upon arrival police were unable to locate the vehicle in question.
DuBois City
- On Thursday, police received a report about a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of North Brady Street and Park Avenue. Upon investigation police found that the operator of a Chrysler Sedan was traveling east on West Park Avenue, at which point they proceeded through a blinking red light at the intersection. It was subsequently struck by a tractor-trailer that was traveling on North Brady Street. No injuries were reported; however, the vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
- On Thursday, police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred in the 100 block of East Washington Avenue. The victim told police that juveniles were ripping flowers out of people’s yards and throwing them onto the roadway. Upon arrival police found the juveniles had fled the scene. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- On Thursday, police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred in the DuBois City Park. The victim told police he was walking around with his metal detector when a juvenile allegedly made several lewd comments toward him. The victim told police the juvenile’s comments made him feel very uncomfortable. Police said the juvenile wasn’t any longer in the area upon arrival, and the incident remains under investigation at this time.
- On Thursday, police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred in the 200 block of West DuBois Avenue. The victim told police that a known female stole an Xbox 360 game console. The incident, police said, remains under investigation with charges pending.
- On Thursday, police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred on South Brady Street. The victim told police that a known male stole his HP Notebook. The incident, police said, remains under investigation with charges pending.
- On Thursday, police received a report about a suspicious male who was allegedly following a female in the 300 block of West Long Avenue. Further, the male allegedly started to touch himself inappropriately in front of the female in public. He then allegedly followed her and stood outside of an apartment complex. The male, police said, was gone upon arrival and was described as a Caucasian with a skull tattoo on his left forearm. He also has a tribal band tattoo on his upper left arm.
