TIPTON – PBS Character Daniel Tiger from “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” is coming to DelGrosso’s Amusement Park on Saturday for WPSU Kid’s Day at the park.
Daniel Tiger will be at the park with DelGrosso’s own Buddy Bear, as they go on the word search and help solve clues for a fun-filled and educational day at the park.
The first 400 children who sign up at the WPSU tent will receive some goodies from WPSU along with their word scramble booklet. Children who complete their booklet can then take home a jar of Daniel Tiger DelGrosso Pizza Sauce.
Blair County Dairy Royalty will also be at the park for special children’s activities and “Ike the Spike” from the State College Spikes will be visiting the park, as well.
“As a family park, we always want kids to have fun. WPSU Kid’s Day is a day of fun and learning mixed together in a great environment. Where else can you hug a bear (Buddy Bear from DelGrosso’s), take a picture with Daniel Tiger, crawl into the belly of a “Dizzy Dragon” for a spin, and then crawl on a “Wacky Worm” to ride a roller coaster?” said Carl Crider Jr., general manager of DelGrosso’s Amusement Park.
WPSU Kid’s Day is made possible thanks to sponsors: Allied Milk Producers, Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries, the State College Spikes and DelGrosso Foods Inc. WPSU Kid’s Day runs from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., rain or shine.
DelGrosso’s Amusement Park offers free parking and admission. An All-Day Fun Pass for the rides and the water park is $18.95.
