Traffic delays expected tomorrow during beam installation
DUBOIS – Traffic delays should be expected tomorrow, as work continues on PennDOT’s Route 255 project near Interstate 80. Crews will be setting a beam tomorrow on a small bridge just north of the Treasure Lake entrance.
In order to set the beam, the temporary barrier will be removed from the work zone and an alternating traffic pattern will be enforced. Drivers need to be alert for flaggers in the roadway tomorrow from 7 a.m. into the afternoon hours. Once the beam is set, northbound and southbound lanes will reopen to traffic with width restrictions.
This project started in May of 2013 and has included milling and paving, bridge deck repair, cleaning and upgrading of pipe culverts and inlets, water-line extension, and installation of new traffic signals at the I-80 ramps. All work is weather and schedule dependent. New Enterprise Stone and Lime Inc. is the contractor on this $3.7 million project.
