Dear Editor:
The Animal Welfare Council (AWC)//Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic would like to thank the supporters of its recent plant/yard sale and rabies clinic.
Through numerous donations from the community, much needed funds were raised to support needy animals in the local area. As a non-profit, the AWC/Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic, located at 1380 Shawville Hwy., Woodland, uses these funds to provide affordable spay and neuter services and vaccines; a pet food pantry for needy pets; insulated dog houses and straw for outdoor animals that need shelter from the cold; and education to community groups about good pet care among other services. Additional donations of paper towels, stamps/office supplies, cat food/litter, dog food, bleach and trash bags are always needed and gratefully accepted. Monetary donations are also appreciated in any amount and memorial or honorary donations can be made that will be recognized with a notification card. All donations are tax deductible.
If you would like more information about the AWC/the Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic, call 814-857-5280, check out the Web site at animal411.net or visit Facebook.
