CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 9.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Phillip Lee Wilkinson, 31, of Chestnut Street, DuBois. Wilkinson is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing on May 9.
On April 30, Cpl. Randall L. Young of the DuBois City police filed a criminal complaint against Wilkinson. He charged Wilkinson with driving under the influence of alcohol, resisting arrest, drivers required to be licensed and turning movements and required signals.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on April 29, police were dispatched to the area of Chestnut Street in DuBois City for a reported domestic dispute. Upon police arrival, the victim advised that Wilkinson had been drinking all day and just left the scene.
Police then located a vehicle traveling on West Weber Avenue and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, Young detected signs of impairment. Wilkinson was removed from the vehicle.
At that point, Wilkinson became argumentative with police and resisted being taken into custody. Police were eventually able to place Wilkinson into the patrol vehicle, and once inside, he began kicking the doors and bars on the windows.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 9, at which time Wilkinson failed to appear and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Wilkinson is described as a Caucasian male standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He has brown eyes and hair.
