Norma O. Luzier, 99, of Clearfield died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1915 the daughter of the late Guy and Laura (Bennett) Lippert. On May 9, 1936, she married G. Grant Luzier, whom died May 29, 1991.
She worked for Clearfield Furs and retired from McGregor’s Sportswear. She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church and the Susquehanna CB club.
She enjoyed sewing, making candy and participating in craft shows and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two children, Althea and her husband, Leo Knepp and Robert and his wife, Phyllis Luzier, both of Clearfield; four grandchildren, Gregory Knepp, Michelle (Mike) McCloskey, Jeffrey (Cathy) Luzier and James Luzier; four great-grandchildren, Zachary McCloskey, Britney Luzier, Cory Luzier and Aaron McCloskey; three sisters, Alverta Hoover of Curwensville, Arlene Barrett of Colorado and Audrey Hoover of Clearfield. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; an infant daughter; three sisters, Beatrice Olmstead, Margaret Chenoweth and Esther Barrett; and four brothers, Floyd Lippert, Ralph Lippert, Wilmer Lippert and Preston Lippert.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Dr. Duane White and the Rev. Robert B. Goldenberg co-officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
