WOODLAND – The Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic/Animal Welfare Council will hold its annual plant sale and rabies clinic on May 16-17.
The plant/yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. both days.  The rabies clinic will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. May 17.   Both will be held at the Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic, 1380 Shawville Hwy., Woodland (adjacent to the Woodland Post Office).
Numerous plants will be available for sale this year, including flowering potted planters, flowers and shrubs, such as perennials and annuals, herbs and vegetable plants. Donations of plants are welcomed by the AWC.
Anyone wanting to donate should call 814-857-5280. The AWC is a non-profit and all donations are appreciated and tax deductible. There will be food available, including pierogies, homemade soup and baked goods.
A new feature this year will be a yard sale with vendors who are scheduled to be available selling their treasures. Vendors interested in setting up a table should call 814-857-5280.
The rabies vaccine will be administered by Dr. John Thomas, and the cost is $12 per animal. Proceeds will benefit needy animals in this area.
