Kenneth Charles Russell, 66, of Curwensville died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield.
He was born Aug. 21, 1947 in Clearfield, a son of the late Henry and Eleanor (Bumbarger) Russell.
Mr. Russell was a self-employed electrician for many years in the Curwensville area. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge No. 480. Mr. Russell enjoyed hunting and was Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Groves) Russell, whom he wed Sept. 26, 1965 in Curwensville; a son, Ken Russell and his wife, Linda of Curwensville; two granddaughters, Nicole Batts and her husband, Dan of Duncansville and Lyndsay Hardin of Altoona; and two great-grandchildren, Cassandra and Jordan Batts.
He is survived by three sisters, Patricia Shannon and her husband, Michael of Pennsylvania, Audrey Crawford of Altoona and Charlotte Passmore and her husband, Richard of Curwensville and two brothers, Donald Russell and his wife, Lila of DuBois and Richard Russell and his wife, Susan of Edinboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Russell and a sister, Cheryl Russell.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville, with Deacon Tony Indelicato officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Curwensville Public Library, 601 Beech St., Curwensville.
