CLEARFIELD – On May 8, the Clearfield Elks 540 will celebrate local talent and assist with the production of Jean Kerr’s play, “Mary, Mary,” with the curtain rising at 7 p.m.
This is an expansion of the Community Investment Program through a Gratitude Grant to the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre Inc. This is help ensure that the CAST’s cultural programs continue in the Clearfield area.
The Clearfield Elks wants to serve its communities in ways to raise its profile, to energize its membership, to encourage former members to return and to gain people who want to be a part of an active organization.
The grant gives the Clearfield Elks a wide range of opportunities to meet a local need and to benefit community life enrichment programs. The Elks will be involved as participants in working as ushers, ticket takers and refreshment servers.
With nearly 900,000 members and more than 2,000 lodges nationwide, the Elks are providing charitable services that help build stronger communities across the United States. The Elks National Foundation is the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
