State police at Clearfield
- An incident of harassment occurred Wednesday at a Henrietta Street residence in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a 25-year-old Osceola Mills woman allegedly engaged in physical contact with the victim. Charges will be filed through the district court.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Thursday along state Route 2035 near Trolley Street in Cooper Township. The operator of a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling westbound when they lost control for unknown reasons. The vehicle traveled off the north shoulder and struck a cement bridge. After impact it became disabled off of the north shoulder, at which point the operator fled the scene; the vehicle was towed from the scene. The accident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a phone scam. Further, a Clearfield man received a call from Bank of America, and he was advised he owed a balance on a card that was cancelled in 2007. The man contacted Bank of America and found this to be false. Police would like to remind residents not to provide personal information, to obtain a callback number and to first contact their financial institution in such instances. Also, residents are urged to contact their local police if they receive such a call.
- Police received a report about juveniles going through unlocked vehicles in the area of Smith and Williams streets. Upon arrival police searched the area before speaking with the owner of a vehicle and finding nothing appeared to be missing. Police will provide extra patrols in the area. Clearfield Borough police assisted with the incident.
