Paul M. Cowder, 74, of Philipsburg died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his home.
He was the son of the late Harvey and Edna (Fleck) Cowder born July 24, 1939 in Woodland. Â He was married to Phyllis (Straw) Cowder, who preceded him in death on March 13, 2001.
Mr. Cowder was of the Christian faith.  He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks No. 1173 in Philipsburg, the L.O.O. Moose 941 in Grassflat, the Mo Valley AMVETS No. 159 in Philipsburg and the Philipsburg VFW No. 3450.
He was a life member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Club, the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Club, the Lincoln Slovak Political Club in Hawk Run, the Carpathian Club in Hawk Run and the Frenchville VFW No. 8386.  He was a retired equipment operator for PennDOT.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Mickey Cowder; six sisters, Edna, Maxine, Leatrice, Ruth, Bernie and Lila; and four brothers, Larry, Richard, Harold and Carl.
Mr. Cowder is survived by a brother, Ashley Cowder and his wife, Shirley, of Rio Rancho, NM; two grandchildren, Nicole Sudik and Destiney Cowder; two great-grandchildren, Lucy Kay Sudik and Aiden Ferguson; a daughter-in-law, Christine of Frenchville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At the request of Mr. Cowder, there will be no viewing or funeral services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills.
