Richard Victor Scott, 73, of DuBois died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born Oct. 8, 1941 in Weedville, he was the son of Mesimo Scott and Dena (Betta) Scott. His mother survives and lives in DuBois.
He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
In DuBois on July 10, 1982, he married Emilie (Mikelonis) Scott. She survives.
He was an electrical engineer supervisor for Penelec at the Shawville and Shelocta power plants.
He was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of the Wattnot Penelec Retirees Club. He enjoyed walking, the outdoors, cooking and reading.
He is survived by his two sons, David Scott and his wife, Natalie, and Michael Scott and his fiancee, Niezle Custodio, all of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Helen Lovenduski and her husband, Leonard, of Force, and Linda Wolfe of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Vincent Scott and his wife, Luann of Marion Center; and two grandchildren, Dawson and Adalie Scott of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and his first wife, Geraldine (Mitskavich) Scott in 1975.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
