Jeffrey Lynn Teats, 51 of Woodland died April 8, 2014 in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. He was the husband of Darlene (Wisor) Teats, whom he married Oct. 10, 1990.
Born March 4, 1963 in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Clayton Teats and Sherry (Morrison) Chesney.
Mr. Teats was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 after 22 years of service. He was employed with the Department of the Army as a new equipment training specialist.
He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Justin Teats and his wife, Kristie of Philipsburg and Eric Peters and his wife, Melissa and Craig Peters and his wife, Andrea, both of Mineral Springs; two grandchildren, Kane Peters and Madison Teats; and three brothers, Randy Teats and his wife, Fannie of Florida, Dan Teats of Alabama and Richard Teats and his wife, Veronica of LeContes Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service to celebrate the life of Jeffrey Teats will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., 312 E. Locust St., Clearfield, with the Rev. Stanley Wisor officiating.
A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be held from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Military honors will be conducted by the Department of the Army.
