Mary E. Conti, 90, of Hawk Run died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Hamilton Arms Nursing Home, Lancaster.
Born Nov. 16, 1923 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Suharksy Sustrik.
Mrs. Conti was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hawk Run. She was a homemaker.
She was married to Carl V. Conti, whom died April 14, 1976.
She’s survived by two daughters, Mary Susan Conti of Chapel Hill, NC and Anna Conti of South Carolina and three sons, Carl Conti and his wife, Janet of San Antonio, Texas, Lewis Conti and his wife, Claudia of Tampa, Fla. and Stephen Conti and his wife, Carol of Lancaster.
She’s also survived by a sister, Elizabeth Reese of Houtzdale; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, William Conti in 1972.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hawk Run, with the Father Robert J. Horgas as celebrant. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hawk Run.
Friends will be received from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
