Edward Kozak, 87, of Allport died Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born July 13, 1926 in Oak Grove, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Anne Rhenish Kozak.
Mr. Kozak was known for being very humble and sweet. He loved the polka. He was a member of the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church.
He was a graduate of the Morris Township High School in the class of 1944. He retired from the state for which he’d worked for 29 years.
Mr. Kozak was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 437 and of the Philipsburg VFW Post 3450.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann, Mary and Margaret and three brothers, John, Michael and Paul Kozak. He was the last member of his generation.
He’s survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Morrisdale, with the Father Robert J. Horgas officiating. Burial will be in the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Morrisdale.
There will be no public visitation.
