Carmen M. Duttry, 95, of Punxsutawney and formerly of Curwensville, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
He was born Feb. 28, 1919 in Bloomington, a son of the late Franklin and Mae (Swatsworth) Duttry.
Mr. Duttry retired from Penelec after 30 years or service, where he installed and read meters. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Curwensville, where he served in the capacities of deacon and trustee.
He is survived by his son Rodney Duttry and his wife, Diana of Punxsutawney; two granddaughters, Tracy McCoy and her husband, Rob and Michele Buzzard and her husband, Dave; three great-grandchildren, Noah and Jacob McCoy and Nick Carey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine (Westover) Duttry on May 16, 2006 and whom he wed Jan. 24, 1943 in Penfield. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Avanelle Mollica and Odessa Addleman and three brothers, Lloyd, Orvis and Richard Duttry.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville, with the Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
