DUBOIS – Since 1952, the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) has honored office workers by sponsoring Administrative Professionals Week. Today, it is one of the largest workplace observances outside of employee birthdays and major holidays.
Every April for 61 years, the IAAP has been asking businesses around the world to show gratitude for “the people who get the job done in their office.” You can join the IAAP by committing in some significant way to mark Administrative Professionals Week April 20-26 and Administrative Professionals Day on April 23.
A special dinner designed for administrative professionals, as well as supervisors and bosses will be held April 23, Administrative Professionals Day, at Penn State DuBois at 6 p.m. There will be door prizes and brochures available about IAAP.
Carol Lundgren, CAP/OM, will present information on the Benefits of Membership in IAAP. The program will be “Leading with Emotional Intelligence: “Everything Good Comes from It”, presented by Shelly Luchini, a Clear-Penn chapter member.
The program is $15. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling Rachel at 814-371-6920 by April 16 or by emailing clundgren@windstream.net to reserve a seat.
