Hermance M. (Lefebvre) Switala, 74, of Parsonville died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born Jan. 20, 1940 in Morann, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Susan (Yurko) Lefebvre. She was a parishioner of St. Barbara’s National Catholic Church, Houtzdale.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing puzzle books and painting by numbers.
She married Lawrence L. “Larry” Switala on Nov. 3, 1973 in Osceola Mills. He survives in Parsonville.
She’s survived by four children, Barbara “Bea” (John) Davis of Smithmill, Bob (Sandy) Dillen and Cindy (Denny) Moore, both of Houtzdale, and Jim (Carol) Dillen of Drifting; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren
She’s also survived by two brothers and a sister, Richard (Shirley) Lefebvre of Virginia; Joseph (Gidget) Lefebvre of New York and Patricia (Butch) Sabol of Houtzdale and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, infant William, Pete and Denny Dillen and three brothers, George, Herman and Patrick Lefebvre.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Fr. Scott Lill officiating.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Barbara’s National Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Father Scott J. Lill as celebrant
Burial will be in St. Barbara’s National Catholic Cemetery, Ramey.
