ALTOONA – Penn State Altoona’s Division of Business & Engineering, the Altoona Blair County Development Corp., and the Blair County Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the spring Gown Meets Town student showcase, on May 2, at the Devorris Downtown Center in downtown Altoona.
From 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., the Blair County business community, parents and friends may stop in to see how classroom instruction has helped students enhance many Blair County organizations’ operations, products and services.
Students will make presentations in the areas of business, electro-mechanical engineering technology, and security and risk analysis. The final round of the Pechter Business Plan Competition will also take place in which cash prizes will be awarded to students. From 2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m., there will be EMET demonstrations in and around the Force Advanced Technology Center on the Ivyside Park campus.
