CLEARFIELD – The Board of Elections will relocate three voting precincts, effective for the May 20 Primary Election, after Dawn Graham, director of elections, gained approval from the Clearfield County Commissioners at yesterday’s regular meeting.
The voting precinct changes will affect: Lawrence Township/Plympton/Pine Precinct; Morris Township/Second Precinct; and DuBois City/Fifth Ward. The Lawrence Township precinct had been located at the Florian Banquet Hall and will relocate to the Expo I Building at the Clearfield Driving Park.
The Morris Township/Second Precinct had been located at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church. It will relocate to the Morris Township Municipal Building. The DuBois City/Fifth Ward had been located at the St. Joseph’s Church Hall and will relocate to the Goodwill Fire Company.
“After careful consideration, we feel that these options meet all of the necessary requirements for a polling place, such as handicap accessibility and parking,” said Graham. Her office, she said, didn’t receive any questions or objections regarding the voting precinct changes.
Anyone with questions is asked to submit them in writing to Graham at 212 E. Locust St., Suite 106, Clearfield, PA 16830, or via e-mail atelections@clearfieldco.org.
