Laszlo P. Mangyik, 71, of Hawk Run died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
He was the son of the late Nandor and Ethel (Szarvas) Mangyik born March 3, 1941 in Gyor, Hungary. He married the former Linda A. Irving on June 14, 1960 in Newton, Mass.; she survives at home.
He was Roman Catholic by faith. He was a self-employed construction worker until retiring. He attended and graduated high school in Hungary.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Lengyel and a brother Nandor Mangyik.
Along with his wife, Mr. Mangyik is survived by a daughter, Dawn Marie Mangyik and her fiancé, Jimmy Cummins of Hawk Run and two sons, Laszlo P. Mangyik and his wife, Patricia of Dunkirk, Ind. and Nandor R. Mangyik and his wife, Kim of Tobyhanna.
He’s survived by three sisters, Maria Nowak of Carteret, NJ, Ethel Kuzak of Perth Amboy, NJ and Elizabeth Walko of South Brunswick, NJ and a brother Eugene Mangyik of Woodbridge, NJ. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at a future time. There will be no public visitation.
Arrangements are under the director of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg.
