Richard “Andy” Andrulonis, 76, of Sykesville died Friday, March 21, 2014 at Christ the King Manor.
Born Sept. 2, 1937 in DuBois, he was the son of the late Anthony J. and Cecilia (Sosinski) Andrulonis.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Berlin Crisis.
On Oct. 1, 1960, he married Doris J. (Fye) Andrulonis. She survives.
Mr. Andrulonis retired from McDowell Manufacturing in DuBois after 35 years of service.
He was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Sykesville, where he was a member of the Rosary Society. He also was a member of the Sykesville Eagles Aerie 4454, the James J. Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Falls Creek Eagles Aerie 965.
He loved to watch westerns on TV and to feed the birds.
He is survived by a son, Richard D. Andrulonis and his wife, Jill of Sykesville; a granddaughter, Melia Andrulonis; three brothers, Thomas Andrulonis and his wife, Marilyn and Leonard Andrulonis and his wife, Josephine, both of DuBois; and Joseph Andrulonis of Baltimore, Md.; and a sister, Susan Samick and her husband, Francis of Fairport, NY.
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Tomasone as celebrant.
Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the church.
Burial will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
