PIKE TOWNSHIP – A 19-year-old Olanta man, Devin M. Brown, sustained minor injuries after a single-vehicle accident Friday on the Curwensville-Tyrone Highway south of Douglas Road in Pike Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
Brown was traveling northbound and smoking a cigarette when his ash tray fell onto his lap. He subsequently lost control of his vehicle and struck an embankment along the east berm. Upon impact the right side of his vehicle went airborne, striking a tree and overturning onto its left side.
Brown’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. He was transported to Clearfield Penn Highlands by ambulance with minor injuries. Brown was cited for the accident, according to state police.
