CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Chamber of Commerce had nearly 500 people attend the pop/rock ensemble of the U.S. Army Field Band, The Volunteers, on March 15 at the Clearfield Area Middle School.
The concert was provided for the Clearfield community free of charge. The Volunteers shared today’s top hits during their live show. The latest music from young artists came straight from the radio to the audience. This segment included music for the young and the young at heart.
The Volunteers performed Motown hits from Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder and others. The military band concert would not be complete without patriotic music. Contemporary songs arranged by The Volunteers included the music of Lee Greenwood and Irving Berlin. The Volunteers also featured a musical salute to the past and present members of the armed forces.
The Volunteers tour more than 100 days each year, bringing a powerful message of patriotism and support to communities large and small. Its members are passionate about representing their fellow soldiers through music.
The Clearfield Chamber would like to thank the Boy Scouts of America Troop 9 of Clearfield, the CAMS staff and the U.S. Army Field Band, The Volunteers.
