State police at Clearfield
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Saturday or Sunday on Forest Street in Coalport Borough. During the incident, someone damaged a stop sign located at the corner of Main and Spruce streets. They also damaged another stop sign at the corner of Walnut and Union streets. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Monday on the Lumber City Highway in Penn Township. During the incident, someone damaged the passenger’s side mirror on the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. - An incident of theft occurred sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning at a Ben Hill job site off of Deer Creek Road in Morris Township. During the incident, someone stole 100 gallons of diesel fuel and a fuel pump. The total value of the fuel and pump is $1,000. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Friday on Blarney Stone Road in Union Township. State police were advised that a known 21-year-old Bellefonte man purposely damaged several mailboxes; he also attempted to cause damage to a vehicle by striking it with his fist. The victims didn’t wish to pursue charges in the case.
- An incident of burglary occurred sometime between Jan. 20 and Sunday on Hanna Hill in Taylor Township. During the incident, someone entered a garage and removed a red Honda generator and a Little Giant ladder. - An incident of burglary occurred sometime between Jan. 9 and Jan. 20 on Hanna Hill in Taylor Township. During the incident, someone entered a residence through an unlocked window. Once inside they removed a 42-inch Sanyo TV; a TV/VCR unit; approximately 3-foot speakers; an audio receiver; an iPad 2; a Play Station 3 game console; a 2012 John Madden football game; a Samsung Galaxy smartphone; and an electric skillet. Clearfield Borough
- Police assisted the Clearfield Fire Department with a smoke-filled structure at 214 E. Locust St. Upon investigation it was found a tenant had cooked food and may have fallen asleep.
- Police assisted with a vehicle lockout on Nichols Street.
- Police handled a domestic dispute on Nichols Street.
- Police received a complaint about a school van operator who was using marijuana and driving under the influence. The witness provided a van description, as well as the name of the operator. Police notified the Clearfield Area School District and Lawrence Township police. The driver was stopped by Clearfield school officials. Lawrence Township police are conducting an investigation into the complaint.
- Police confronted three individuals in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Upon talking to them, police found they were “ghost hunting.”
- Police responded to two alarms at a business downtown. Both alarms were false.
- The Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department and the Lawrence Township police were assisted with a vehicle pursuit on the Clearfield-Rockton Highway. Deputies, police said, stopped the vehicle on the Mount Zion Highway.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a traffic violation on Montgomery Run Road. Vehicles, police said, are reportedly driving at an excessive speed. Extra patrol will be provided to the area.
- Police assisted deputies with the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department with a traffic stop.
- Police assisted a disabled motorist on Supercenter Drive.
- Police assisted a disabled motorist on River Road.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred in the Clearfield Mall parking lot.
- Police received a report about a 44-year-old woman who was allegedly under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance at the Clearfield Area Middle School. DUI charges are currently pending.
- Police received a report about an alleged identity theft incident in the area of South Second Street.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief in the area of Clarendon Avenue.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident without any injuries that occurred at the car wash on River Road.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute on Valley View Drive. The incident was handled at the scene.
- Police received a report about a noise complaint on Valley View Drive. Upon arrival police advised the tenant to keep the noise to a minimum.
- Police received a report about a psychological emergency. Further, police were on standby while emergency personnel transported the person to the hospital for evaluation.
DuBois City
- On Tuesday, someone attempted to kick in a door at a location in the 100 block of East Washington Avenue. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- Two men engaged in a physical altercation Tuesday in the 100 block of Grant Street. One man was treated at the hospital for injuries; charges are currently pending at this time.
