CLEARFIELD – Joseph B. Bower Jr., president and chief executive officer of CNB Bank, has introduced CNB’s new concept banking center in downtown Clearfield.
The entrance is now located at 31 S. Second St., which is on the corner of South Second and Cherry streets. The CNB building spans the entire block from Cherry Street to Market Street.
The new banking center contains a café-style lobby and includes a drive-up window. The new addition features enhanced technologies including a new ATM, Internet kiosk, coffee station, open teller areas, digital signage, cash recyclers and a coin counter.
The interior space features a completely new look for Clearfield, and one that celebrates the local community’s natural beauty and appeal. A floor-to-ceiling photomural is the focal point of the new lobby, along with more than two dozen large, color photos that bring to life all that the Clearfield area has to offer. All of the local images are the work of area photographers.
“CNB’s Clearfield roots date all the way back to 1865,” explained Bower. “We are dedicated to this community and inspired by all that it offers. That’s what we captured so vibrantly in our new interior space. I think customers are going to be pleased with what they see.”
While the inside is state-of-the-art, the building’s historic façade was preserved in order to keep in line with Clearfield’s existing architecture. In addition, the decision to use varying brick and stone for the new exterior reflects the nature of historic downtown.
CNB’s expansion plans were first revealed in November of 2012 and followed by a May groundbreaking ceremony. From the start, CNB sought to utilize local contractors in the project, and close to a dozen were hired. Approximately 140 employees will work in the enhanced corporate headquarters, with room to grow.
