Sherman R. Herman, 71, of Osceola Mills died Monday, March 3, 2014 at his home.
He was the son of the late James and Martha (Brendt) Herman, born on Jan. 1, 1943 in Madera. He married Donna J. (Gregg) Herman on May 20, 1972 in Philipsburg; she survives at home.
Mr. Herman was of the Christian faith. He was a retired logger for the former W.D. Krause & Sons.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Fryer, Ethel Ruffing and Dorothy Herman and two brothers, James Herman and Robert Herman.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Herman is survived by two daughters, Irene Gregg of Clarksburg, W.Va., and Tammy Herman and her companion, Allen Mostoller of Osceola Mills; a son, Richard J. Herman and his wife, Vicky of Osceola Mills; and two sisters, Betty Krause of Ramey and Anna Mae Herman of Houtzdale.  He’s also survived by three grandchildren, Nathaniel Mostoller, Andrew Mostoller and Gary Klinger Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Garon Mostoller and Kendra Mostoller; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
At his request, there will be no viewing.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills.
