John “Pat” Nadji, 66, of DuBois died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside in Pittsburgh.
Born March 16, 1947, he was the son of the late John and Genevieve (Duffalo) Nadji. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.
On July 12, 1968, he married Rebecca “Becky” (Ball) Nadji. She survives.
After 30 years of service, he retired from the United Parcel Service (UPS). He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
He was also a member of the DuBois Country Club and the Sykesville Eagles Aerie No. 4454. He was a past member of the former Moose Club in DuBois. He was also the long-time manager of Triangle Springs’ DuBois Little League Team. He enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kimberly Van Horn and her husband, Timothy of Bradford and Chad Nadji and his wife, Mary Ann of Brockway and a sister, Carol Nadji of DuBois.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski and Fr. Matias Quimno co-celebrating.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
